Job Description
1. Develop fabrication process for silicon photonics. 2. Develop new or leverage existing silicon photonics processes to meet optical requirements 3. Ensure that fabrication processes development meet the specification, high yielding, cost competitive, meet quality requirements and can be easily transferred into volume manufacturing. 4. Develop current and future Silicon Photonics components to fulfill various customer requirements. 5. Design, Modeling and Simulation of silicon photonics active and passive devices and components such as modulators, detectors, waveguides, edge and top couplers, PSR's, heaters and supporting FETs and FEOL and BEOL passive elements within the general technology capability. 6. Evaluate design solutions with commercially available simulation tools. 7. Provide technical interface to customers specific to aligning their requirements with our photonics technology road map and current status. 8. Root cause identification/troubleshooting of parametric test, optical test, sort and reliability failures and lead the team to implement fixes. 9. Lead multi-disciplined teams to resolve product and line issues by designing and analyzing appropriate experiments. 10. Design and conduct optical experiments as needed to support design efforts 11. Manage and interface with customers and partners. 12. Manage multiple projects for process / yield/ defectivity improvements. 13. Involve in silicon photonics PDK development and optical characterization with various customers and technology partners.
Requirements
1. BEng/ BSc/ MSc in related field 2. Min 10 year(s) of working experience in the related field. 3. Good understanding of CMOS manufacturing process steps and constraints on the design of photonic devices 4. Experience with CMOS for both FEOL and BEOL processes. 5. Capable of coaching and mentoring new or junior engineer. 6. Independent, analytical thinker, comfortable with high technology environment, self-motivated.
